What it involves

Everything out, everything back better.

A refit in place is the least disruptive job we do, and often the most transformative. The room comes back to bare walls, we correct whatever we find behind the old tiling, and it is rebuilt properly from the substrate out. Because the layout stays put, there is no soil work, no chasing new supply runs and no building control involvement — which is why it is quicker and less expensive than moving things around.

What is included

About full bathroom refit

Questions we are
asked most.

Do we lose the use of the bathroom for the whole job?

Yes, for the working days of the programme. If it is your only bathroom we will tell you at survey exactly which days are unusable and, where the layout allows, we can often keep a WC in service for most of the job.

Can you keep the existing bath or basin?

Sometimes. If a piece is in good condition and can be removed without damage we will price to retain it. Be aware that older sanitaryware rarely lines up with modern waste positions once the walls are re-boarded.

What usually turns up behind the old tiles?

Standard plasterboard where moisture-resistant board should be, tile adhesive used as if it were a waterproofing layer, and previously repaired leaks that were never traced to source. We photograph everything we find and send it to you the same day.
